More of all this please: More chasing sunsets up mountains and winding roads. More beach days. More telling people you love them. More rest. More stopping to admire the flowers. More buying yourself flowers. More reading before bed. Life lately has been pretty great đź’›
This Spring feels different. Do you feel it too? It has reawaken something deep in my soul. This last week has been one for the books ✌🏻Not pictured—all the things I want to be better at documenting (while still staying present): savoring sweet strawberries from the farmers market; reading a good book as the sun danced across the room; singing songs of our teenage angst as we drive through desert open roads; and gazing at the stars while bundled up in blankets in the trunk of our car. This feels a little weird, and also a little nostalgic…but here’s to getting back into snapping and sharing those big and small moments again. Hi Instagram, I’ve missed ya (mostly!).
Sorry Instagram and ethical fashion, I’ve been cheating on ya with diverse books and working on being a better educator (and therefore person). 📚
The vastness of this new year really got to me this week as 2020 came to an end. The calendar year may be different, but nothing has really changed. I didn’t feel the typical magic and hope a new year can bring (and that’s okay!). It still feels like I’m very much in the thick of this season, and I’m not quite ready to leave it just yet (and that’s okay!). I’m not quite ready to look too far in the future (and that’s okay!).
Dear Little Apartment,
Sending love to everyone who is nurturing their inner child and giving them space to play and find joy this holiday season, especially this one.
