Sorry Instagram and ethical fashion, I’ve been cheating on ya with diverse books and working on being a better educator (and therefore person). 📚
The vastness of this new year really got to me this week as 2020 came to an end. The calendar year may be different, but nothing has really changed. I didn’t feel the typical magic and hope a new year can bring (and that’s okay!). It still feels like I’m very much in the thick of this season, and I’m not quite ready to leave it just yet (and that’s okay!). I’m not quite ready to look too far in the future (and that’s okay!).
Dear Little Apartment,
Sending love to everyone who is nurturing their inner child and giving them space to play and find joy this holiday season, especially this one.
Minutes after this photo was snapped, we watched as a seagull flew overhead with a pastry...and then realized it was OUR pastry...that was safely stored and hidden away in my tote bag. We had a good laugh, wished it well, and hoped that the birds had enjoyed what would’ve been our breakfast tomorrow.
