DD: Madewell Kent Cardigan

For all my OG followers who have been with me since I started my first blog way back in 2009 (can’t believe it’s been that long!), this post is for you.

It all started when Jen, from Jennifhsieh, won my first giveaway. Embarrassingly enough, this first giveaway was a bow because believe it or not, 9 years ago, I was obsessed with bows. Yes, BOWS! From that giveaway on, we started Dynamic Duo–a series in which we both style the same item but in different ways. From rooster-printed tops to ice-cream printed skirts, we’ve had some pretty embarrassing moments, but I wouldn’t have had it any other way. So without further ado, I give you Dynamic Duo in 2018!

It was definitely way harder to choose an item that we both agreed on this time around. Before, we were notorious Urban Outfitters sale rats and I think 100% of our items ended up being from there. Our styles have changed so much since then (definitely for the better!). In the end, we went with this Madewell Kent Cardigan.

I wanted to find something that I could wear beyond this post (wish I could’ve said the same for some of our previous items we’ve chosen), and that would fit in well with the capsule wardrobe I already have. I had been eyeing this cardigan for months, and when we both saw it was on sale (and that day Madewell was having an extra 20% off sale items), we jumped at the chance. It would work well both for a LA winter and a NY winter. And you guys, it is seriously one of the softest sweaters I own! I never want to take it off! It’s like a robe that you can wear out in public!
