Begin Again

We were up to our old tricks again with overspending on coffee and chasing the sunset in Melrose over the weekend. Our natural inclination to avoid the popular sights caused us to stumble upon some cool spaces as we combed the back alleys and small streets of this corner of LA. Since our last visit in September, it was bittersweet reminiscing of old times and exciting to see how much we’ve grown as bloggers, as a couple, and as individuals since then. We’ve both come a long way since that day and as the weather warms up, we can’t help but feel a renewal of energy as Spring approaches.

  1. in the subject of coffee, you know what actually.. ever since i started drinking “gourmet/roaster” coffee, i had less appreciation for starbucks (equally expensive but not as rich in flavour). so really, i can justify spending a bit of money for those kinds than the popular chain one. anyway, I'm off to replying to your email dear. I've been busy with work and coming back from NYC (it's just now that I'm getting into my emails, hope you understand)

  2. Beautiful photos! I really like the mood of those empty cups of coffee. My boyfriend has those Wolverine boots too, love them! How did you get your mansur gavriel bag to soften up like that?

  3. Hahah that *is* quite a lot of coffee- you two are my kind of people. And I was admiring the creative little nooks you took your photos, and the pictures became all the more interesting knowing that you stumbled upon them while exploring. That's one of my favorite things to do in a new city- to just wander around like a local and get the feel of neighborhoods. My favorite is the one where you're in front of the curly wiry fence and the shadows are falling on your face. Such a great shot!

  4. Haha I was gonna say, wow four cups of coffee! At the end of my senior year of high school I'd go to Starbucks almost every day after school to do work. I would feel bad for sitting inside without buying anything, so I'd always get a cup of coffee too. I mean, if there's delicious coffee waiting there, I sure as heck am gonna buy some! (okay I get that Starbucks isn't really coffee, but I like it nonetheless. I'm into the sugary, creamy, milky, chocolate-y stuff) Now that I'm a freshman in college and spending money out of my own pocket–instead of asking my parents for it every time I need more–I realize how much I've been spending on coffee and have been trying to cut back a bit 😛 -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey's

  5. You take wonderful photos, this is such a great concept for a blog. And in answer to your question on my blog that tea set is from the 1940's it is made out of glass to look like jade. It is very collectable and hard to find for a good price!
